코로나19 속 일상, 노을공원 산책

코로나19의 여파로 인한 사회적 거리두기 단계 하향조정 결정을 앞둔 지난 10월 11일.
그 동안 지속된 사회적 거리두기 2~2.5단계에 지친 시민들이 한글날과 주말을 이은 연휴에 개방된 공원 등에서 나들이를 하는 모습을 많이 찾아 볼 수 있었습니다.
완연한 가을 날씨를 보이고 있는 요즘.
도심속 자연을 즐길 수 있는 공간 중에서 서울 마포구 상암동의 노을공원을 찾아가 보았습니다.

처음 주차장에 들어서며 주차할 자리를 찾기 힘들 정도로 주차장에 빼곡히 들어찬 차들이 보입니다.
생각보다 많은 인파가 몰려 있을 것을 생각하니 걱정이 앞섰는데요. 이런 걱정을 해야한다는 것에 코로나19가 우리 일상의 생활 방식에 얼마나 많은 영향을 끼치고 있는지 스스로를 놀라게 만들고 있었습니다.
이날 원래의 목적지는 갈대가 우거진 하늘공원을 방문할 예정이였으나 하늘공원은 11월 3일까지 폐쇄되었으며 다행이 노을공원과 주변 산책로가 개방되어 있었습니다.

이곳의 명물인 전기차(맹꽁이 전기차)를 타는 곳에서는 사람들의 체온체크와 마스크 착용여부를 확인하고 있었으며 9명의 승객이 탑승하도록 하고 있었습니다.
아침 저녁 기온차가 심해진 날씨 탓인지 속도가 그렇게 빠르지 않은 전기차를 타고 맞게 되는 바람이 조금은 싸늘하게 느껴졌습니다.

노을공원은 하늘공원과 달리 넓은 잔디밭과 탁 트인 공간이 공원을 찾은 사람의 마음을 시원하게 해주었는데요.
넓은 공간 덕분에 사람들간의 거리도 넓게 유지 할 수 있었습니다.

가족, 연인, 친구들 삼삼오오 잔디위에 자리를 마련하거나 캠핑장의 벤치를 이용하기도 하고 산책로를 따라 사진을 찍으며 오늘을 기록하고 있는 모습이 보기 좋은 날이였습니다.
사람들이 마주치지 않을 만큼의 먼 거리에서 잠시 마스크를 내려 산뜻한 공기를 들이마실 기회를 가지는 사람들의 모습도 볼 수 있었습니다.

마스크가 답답하게 느껴지기도 하지만 이제막 걸음을 시작한 아이의 모습은 지금의 상황이 더 이상 큰 피해 없이 지나갈 수 있기를 바라는 어른들의 마음을 움직이듯 마스크의 틈을 더 조이게 만듭니다.
언제 끝날지 모르는 코로나19와의 일상.
오늘은 상암동에 위치한 노을공원에서 시민들의 모습을 살펴보았는데요. 최근 공공장소에서의 마스크 착용과 관련한 불미스러운 사고 등에서 보여준 염려와는 달리 대부분의 시민들은 방역수칙을 준수하며 일상을 보내는 것으로 보입니다.
10월 12일 방역당국은 사회적 거리두기를 1단계로 하향조정 하였습니다. 시민들은 조금 안정화된 현시점에서 더 조심스럽게 활동하며 상황을 지켜 볼 필요가 있어보입니다.
