‘낭포성 섬유증’을 앓고 있는 스텔라는 남들은 아무렇지도 않은 기침만 하더라도 병원에 입원을 하고 치료를 받아야 합니다. 
 
세상 살면서 친구들과 어울리며 지냈어야 하는 학창시절의 대부분을 병실에서 홀로 지내며 가족들이나 의료진, 같은 병을 앓고 있는 ‘포’가 10대인 그녀 주위의 세상 모든 사람들 입니다.
 
그러던 그녀 앞에도 백마 탄 왕자….아니 코에 산소 호흡기를 착용하고 나타난 가슴 떨리는 “윌”이 나타나기 전까지는 그녀의 일상과 병상생활을 흔들어 놓은 사람은 아무도 없었습니다.
 
사랑하는 사람이 나타나지만 ….
 
접근도 포옹도 키스도 허용되지 않으며 ….주변 사람들을 더 불안하게 만들기도 하며,
서로 5피트 (약 152cm)의 거리를 두어야만 안전한 사이…
 
하지만 그런 벽도 그들의 사랑 앞에서는 아무것도 아니였으며,
희생이라는 단어 앞에서는 무너질 수 밖에 없습니다.
 
달달하면서 진정한 사랑이란 무엇인지 
그 한 부분을 보여주는 영화 “파이브 피트” 입니다.
