애스턴마틴이 새로운 비전을 제시한 신형 스포츠카를 선보이고 있습니다. 일반적으로 알고 있는 슈퍼카 보다 더 등급이 높은 “하이퍼카”라고 하는 것이 더 맞는 말이겠네요.
1000마력과 20억이라는 차량 가격이 말하듯 여러가지 수치에서부터 보여주게 될 내용이 너무나 많을 것 같은 “발할라”는 전세계 500대 한정 생산을 하게 되며 2021년쯤 주문된 물량이 새 주인에게 인도 될 예정으로 알려져 있습니다.

“발할라(Valhalla)”는 북유럽 신화에 나오는 가장 아름다운 궁전의 이름으로 오딘(Odin)을 위해 용감히 싸우다 전사한 용사들을 맞이하는 그 곳의 이름 입니다. 바로 천국의 그런 곳이 되겠는데요.
그 만큼 보는 사람들로 하여금 디자인에서 감탄을 그리고 가지는 사람이나 타보는 사람에게는 천국의 그 기분을 만끽하게 할 만큼 경이로운 순간을 선사하는 자동차 그 이상의 것을 추구하는 것으로 보입니다.

애스턴마틴 “발할라”는 지난 8월1일부터 4일까지 코엑스 메가박스 입구에 전시되어 수 많은 사람들의 관심을 받으며 지나다니는 사람들의 발걸음을 멈추게 만듭니다.
언제부터인가 이 자리에서 자동차들의 쇼룸이 만들어지고 있는데요. 이미 볼보, 렉서스 등 기자가 지나 다니며 본 전시 차량도 몇 대가 있었습니다. 하루에 수 만명의 방문객이 있는 코엑스몰의 유동인구를 생각한다면 마케팅의 효과가 그리 나쁘지만 않을 것 입니다.

일반 차량이 아닌 “하이퍼카” 등급을 공공장소에서 전시하기란 그리 쉬운 선택은 아니였을거라 여겨집니다. 그러나 이런 현상을 볼 때 이제 어느 기업이든 기존의 럭셔리 브랜드들의 폐쇄적인 홍보전략이 판매계층만을 위한 것 이였다면, 이젠 대중이 알아주며 그 브랜드나 상품을 하나의 이상(理想), 로망으로 여기는 것이 SNS 등을 통하여 더 구체화 되면서 상품가치를 높일 수 있는 방법으로도 보입니다.

앞모습을 시작으로 전체적으로 귀상어의 모습을 연상케 하기도 하는데요.
곳곳에 드러나 보이는 작은 날개들은 물살을 가르고 있을 상어의 지느러미를 떠오르게 만듭니다.
이런 디자인이 역동적이고 날카로움을 표현해 냄과 동시에 다운포스와 그립력을 상상하게 만듭다.
