오초희, 호프만의 인형이 되다!!

누구든 어느 한 사람이 목표를 세우고 자신이 인생의 어떤 길을 걸을 것인지 또 어떤 길로 걸어갈지 정하는 것은 그리 쉽지 않습니다.
 
어느 분야든 마찬가지로 보이는데요.
 
배우이면서 배우로서 스스로 발전하는 계기를 마련하고 또 그런 모습을 대중에게 보여주기 위하여 다양한 분야의 무대에서 모습을 보여주는 배우가 있어 소개합니다.
 
바로 오초희 배우입니다.
 
이미 지난 7월 본지(올댓모터스) 기사에서 연극무대를 통하여 소개를 했었는데요.
 
그리 오랜 시간이 지나지 않은 지금, 국립오페라단의 “호프만의 이야기” 오페라에 참여하게 되었다는 소식이 전해져 잠시 이야기를 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다.
 
Q) 연극무대를 통하여 보았을 때도 마찬가지였지만, 대중들이 TV 방송매체를 통하여 알고 있는 오초희 배우의 모습만 생각했을 때 오페라 무대에서 볼 수 있으리란 생각을 하지 못했을 겁니다.
이번 오페라 “호프만의 이야기”에서는 어떤 역할을 맡게 되나요?
 
  • 이번 예술의전당 오페라극장에서 10월 24일부터 27일까지 열리는 오페라 ‘ 호프만의 이야기’에서 총 5막으로 이루어진 이번 오페라에서 2개의 에피소드에 출연하는데, 저는 오케스트라와 합창단 그리고 오페라 가수들 사이에서 무용을 베이스로 한 연기를 선보이며 호프만이 사랑에 빠졌던 인형 올림피아 등과 함께 연기하고 있습니다.
 
 
Q) 놀랍습니다! 최근 연극무대를 이어 오페라까지 장르를 불문하고 활동이 많습니다. 이런 활동을 바탕으로 특별히 생각하는 앞으로의 계획이 있나요?
 
  • 연극무대 그리고 오페라 무대 드라마나 영화 모든 장르가 하나의 표현하는 사람으로 같은 무대라고 생각합니다.
  • ‘쓰임‘이라고 표현을 하는데 캐릭터를 표현하고 연기로 감정을 다루는 일을 하는 사람이 되어 ’쓰임‘을 할 수 있어서 너무 감사하며 감사하는 마음으로 무대에 서고 있습니다.

Q) 무대에 선다는 것이 본인에겐 행복 그 자체라는 의미로 받아들여도 될까요?
 
  • 네…! 무대에 서 보니 너무 행복하고 연기 할 수 있다는 것에 너무 행복을 느끼고 있어 계속 무대에 서기 위해 도전 하고 있습니다. 다양한 장르 다양한 무대에 서기 위해 준비 하고 있으니 다음 무대에 서게 되면 조만간 좋은 소식 전해드리도록 노력하겠습니다
 
Q) 최근 연극의 배역을 봤을 때나 지금의 역할에 대해서 TV 방송을 하는 때보다 비중이 낮은 역할들을 맡았다고 생각하는 사람들도 있을 수 있습니다. 나름대로 본인의 배우로서 일에 임하는 태도는 어떤 것인지 …?
 
  • 무대에 서 보시는 분들이라면 더 잘 알 수도 있는데, 작은 역은 없다고 생각해요. 모두가 약속이고 한 부분이라도 부족하거나 모자르면 완벽한 호흡이 힘들기 때문에 어떠한 역도 소홀 할 수가 없듯 다른 역도 다 소중하다고 생각합니다.
 
Q) 인터뷰 내용을 보게 될 팬들에게 이번 오페라 무대에 서는 각오 한 마디 남겨 주실까요?
 
  • 제가 늦게 무대에 서기 시작했기 때문에 비중을 떠나 지금은 최선을 다해 제 위치를 잘 해내기 위해 노력하고 있습니다 그러니 예쁘게 봐주시구 어려운 걸음 하셔서 많은 박수 부탁드립니다.
 
 
섹시미로 먼저 알려졌기에 오초희 배우 그녀의 감춰진 다른 매력들에 대해서 잘 알려지지 않은 부분들도 많은 것 같습니다.
 
갑자기 무용을…? 이라고 생각 할 수 있지만, 사실 오초희 배우는 한국 무용을 전공했습니다. 그런 만큼 이번 공연에서 맡게 된 역할도 갑자기가 아니라 오초희 배우 자신의 감춰뒀던 최고의 장기 중 하나를 선보여 줄거라 기대도 해봅니다.

공연을 코앞에 둔 막바지 연습에 지친 모습이긴 하지만, 오초희 배우의 표정 만큼은 즐거움이 넘쳐 보였습니다.
 
프랑스 작곡가 오펜바흐(1819~1880) 탄생 200주년을 기념하여 펼쳐지는 무대, 국립오페라단의 “호프만의 이야기”는 오는 10월 24일(목)부터 27일(일)까지 예술의전당 오페라극장에서 만날 수 있습니다.
