웃음코드 확실히 전달하고 그렇게 연일 흥행을 이어가며 1천만 관객을 눈앞에 두고 있는 영화 ‘극한직업’ 입니다.

‘지금까지 이런 맛은 없었다~. 이것은 갈비인가 통닭인가~? ‘

지난 2019년 1월 23일 개봉전 부터 trailer를 통해 미리 소개된 몇몇 멘트가 SNS 등을 통하여 본 사람들의 뇌에 쏙쏙 박히는 묘한 매력이 있는 예고였습니다.

웃겨봐야 뭐가 그리 사람을 웃기겠는가 하는 생각을 가지는 것은 당연한 것입니다.

사회전반적으로 침체기에 빠진 요즘. 이미 영화를 봐본 만큼 본 또 웃어본 만큼 웃어본 사람들에겐 더 먹히기 힘든 코믹액션 수사물입니다.

그럼에도 보고 있는 내내 관객들 모두 호탕하게 웃도록 만들어준 것은 당연한 시점일 듯 하지만 의외의 곳에서 ‘빵’하고 터트리는 한 방, 한 방이 슈팅게임에서 한 발에 명중시킨 것 처럼 시원하다고 할까요?

마약과 만년 반장인 고반장이 이끄는 팀은 실적부진으로 모두 좌천위기에 빠진 상태.

먼저 진급한 후배 과장의 정보에 따라 범죄조직 소탕을 위하여 잠복수사를 진행하며 통닭집까지 인수 하는데…

많은 직장인들이 퇴직을 하게되면 많이들 하는 치킨집 프랜차이즈가 말로만 듣는 것이 아니라 정말 그것밖에 할 것이 없는 것 처럼 보이기도 합니다.

씁쓸한 현실조차 웃으며 넘기게 되는 어느 순간… 사고뭉치 마약팀은 그 동안 숨겨 놓았던 자신들의 본성에 충실하며 마약조직을 박살을 내게 됩니다.

곳곳에 노골적으로 드러내고 있는 PPL광고임을 다 알면서 그것 조차도 재미의 한 요소로 생각해주는 관객들의 포용력이 아주 크고 호탕해 보입니다.

영화를 보며 팝콘에 손이 가다가도 그 맛이 잘 튀겨진 프라이드 치킨이였으면 하는, 카라멜맛 팝콘이 이미 즐겨본 양념맛으 느껴지는건 이 영화가 정말 그럴듯하게 잘 만들어졌다는 뜻으로 비춰집니다.

실제 수원시 통닭골목에는 ‘수원왕갈비통닭’이 다시 등장했다는 일부 언론보도가 있습니다. 그런 만큼 영화의 흥행이 많은 부분 소비자들에게 영향을 주고 있음은 확실해 보입니다.

영화가 끝나고 자리를 일어서며 관객들은 은근히 쿠키영상을 기다리는 눈치이기도 하였지만, 그런 것이 없을거라 생각하며 아쉽게 자리에서 일어나고 있었습니다.

설연휴를 맞아 가족단위 관객이 많았었는데요. 많은 분들이 오랜만에 극장와서 잘 웃고 간다는 표현들을 하는 것을 들을 수 있었습니다.

출구 쓰레기통에 수북하게 쌓여 버려진 팝콘통이 치킨통 처럼 보인다는 관람객 부터 치맥이 생각난다는 관객들까지 영화가 끝난 후의 후폭풍은 치킨집을 향하고 있었습니다.

모처럼 호탕하게 관객들과 눈치보지 않고 웃어 본 영화 ‘극한직업’이였습니다.
