김혜진 작가 23번째 개인전 – RE:ME 내게로 오는 시간 展

2020. 7. 4. 김혜진 작가의 23번째 개인전 『RE:ME 내게로 오는 시간 展』이 혜화동 혜화아트센터에서 열렸습니다.

이날 오프닝 행사에는 수 많은 지인들과 김혜진 작가의 작품에 관심이 많은 콜렉터들의 방문이 이어졌습니다.

이번 전시회에는 김혜진 작가가 1년여 기간 동안 만들어낸 회화, 조각, 설치작품들을 포함하여 행위예술까지 기존 작품들과 함께 70여점에 이르며 개인전으로는 상당히 큰 무게를 가진 전시회가 되었습니다.

김혜진 작가의 작품세계는 작가이면서 여배우이기 때문에 여배우와 영화를 소재로 자신의 정신세계를 표현하고 있습니다.

그동안 김혜진 작가가 『모성과 모성애에 대한 그리움. 자아의 성찰과 힐링』을 주제로 삼은 모든 작품들은 작가 개인의 인생자체를 녹여 표현하고 만들어 냈으며 작품을 보게 되는 수 많은 사람들과의 소통이 가장 큰 핵심이였습니다.

이런 전작들을 바탕으로 이번에 선보인 새로운 작품들은 보다 더 넓고 깊게 그리고 직접적으로 자신이 바라본 세상과 주변에 대한 이야기를 담고 있습니다.

“페르소나”

(페르소나는 그리스 어원의 ‘가면‘을 나타내는 말로 ‘외적 인격’ 또는 ‘가면을 쓴 인격’을 뜻하고 멀티 페르소나 (Me & Myselve)는 ‘다중 자아‘를 의미하며 개인이 상황에 맞게 다른 사람으로 변신하여 다양하게 정체성을 표현하는 것을 뜻함)

새로운 작품들의 내용이 되고 있는 ‘페르소나’는 우리가 가진 내적자아와 사회생활을 하며 타인에게 비춰지는 수 많은 외적자아(사회적 자아)의 왜곡된 모습을 비교하며 보여주고 있습니다.

작가는 우리 모두가 필연적으로 가지게 되는 이런 이중성이 최대한 자신의 본래 모습을 찾아가며 긍정적인 페르소나를 만들어내고 스스로 힐링 할 수 있는 모습을 보여주고자 합니다.

지금까지 김혜진 작가의 전시회에는 회화작품 뿐만 아니라 조각 등 조형물들이 늘 함께하였습니다. 그리고 늘 새로운 시도를 하는 모습을 볼 수 있었는데요.

이번 23번째 개인전에는 레드카펫을 밟을 준비를 하는 김혜진 작가 자신인 여배우의 모습을 투영한 설치미술을 선보이고 있으며 이와 함께 작가의 또 다른 자아(自我)로 선보인 무용수 “이다현“의 아트콜라보 축하공연은 이 날 전시장을 찾은 많은 사람들에게 깊은 감동을 선사했습니다.

“이다현“(서울시립무용단 무용수, 2019 미스코리아 미) 무용수는 여배우가 스타가 되는 꿈을 꾸는 것과 그 과정의 힘겨움, 고뇌와 고통 그리고 모든 과정을 거치며 레드카펫을 밟게 되는 영광의 순간을 표현 하였고 “이다현” 무용수의 동작 하나 하나는 관람객들의 시선을 집중시키고 있었습니다.

이번 김혜진 작가의 23번째 개인전에서는 그 동안 작가의 작품활동을 봐왔다면 작가의 삶이 녹아든 작품들을 통하여 작가의 인생과 철학을 작가와 함께 나눌 수 있는 힐링의 시간을 가질 수 있습니다.

또 처음 전시회를 찾더라도 작가의 과거와 현재의 많은 작품을 함께 감상 할 수 있을 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다.
